The Story of the Drawing:
This drawing - painting is actually referenced from several photos I have taken over the years. I arrive just before the towers fell in New York and it was just two months after my arrival that terrible terrorist attack happened. Ever since that moment I have been inspired by the patriotism I saw on every street in America in support of that event. This has inspired me many times to make patriotic art works and this is one of my newer onces created in January 2019.
I had a hard decision to make, drawing or painting, so I decided on a mixture of the two. One night I just sat down by my computer and many hours later I had what I thought was a visually stunning piece of patriotic artwork. It is one of my favorite patriotic digital pieces, as I have alway wanted to add the flag colors to an actual eagle body and look representatively real.
It was created on a computer using digital painting techniques and tools. The main items being Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter and Wacom drawing tablet. Part of the elements were hand drawn using traditional Pen and Ink Techniques which were scanned back into a computer for inclusion in the art
